On April 8, 2022, Michael Flomenhaft will participate in the Injured Workers’ Bar Association (IWBA) Spring CLE conference. His panel is entitled “Recognizing and Representing Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI/Post Concussion Syndrome) as a Potentially Permanently Incapacitating Injury.” A significant focus of his discussion will be the difficulty of many injured workers have, particularly in the construction sector, in validating life altering concussion injuries. Concussions are typically inadequately assessed in Workers Compensation medical evaluations. Consequently, while physical injuries are readily established, injuries to the brain are often missed not only as part of compensation claims but also in related personal injury lawsuits.
